WOW / Sledgehammer / Profile Records, 1987
Tracks: Overture / You're A Zombie / The Day of The Humans Is Gone / Destroyers / Brain Dead / Propagators / Finale
Note: This one is a great "rock opera" concept album. Besides the tracks listed above, the album is interspersed with dialogue telling the story of the invasion of earth by giant, mutated maggots. This is the album that made me bow down and pledge my allegiance!

FINDING ALBUMS AND RE-ISSUES

Please note: I will not trade, sell, or copy any of my records! Too many people ask if they can get a copy of such-and-such a record, for whatever reason, that it's just not feasible for me. Sorry, but please don't ask.

Many people have been asking me where to get these great records, and all I can say is happy hunting! My personal collection was assembled by digging through the bins at every Mom & Pop record store I came across on a trip around the western half of the USA, along with hitting my local record convention every time it's held. (And no, I won't record a copy of it for you!) There are some items for which I haven't even seen an actual copy of it. The Plasmatics and WOW releases are all out-of-print, and hard to get--some stores have a bunch of some records, whereas other regions seem to have none. No telling. . . . For those of you who don't have the time, patience, or money to search for that elusive vinyl, you can find some CD re-issues. Many of these are as elusive as the original vinyl, so beware! Please Note: Most of these are UK, German, or Japanese imports, so expect a hefty price tag!

  • New Hope for the Wretched - You can find this on the German Repertoire label (catalog number REP 4394-WY). It includes the following bonus tracks: "Tight Black Pants", "Living Dead", and "Sometimes I" - all live (though previously released). There is also a recent version released by Dojo (UK) excluding the extra tracks.
  • Beyond the Valley of 1984 / Metal Priestess - Together on one CD. Released on Passport Records in 1991?, probably no longer available.
  • Coup d'Etat - Finally rereleased and currently available! It's been released by Dojo Records (UK), and your local independent record store can probably special order it for you.
